cheytara's Status: Grace has been getting into trouble the last few days. With my husband gone due to military duties for over 3 weeks, she's getting bored and destructive during her extended times alone (probably some of her mild separation anxiety coming out also). Poor 07:17pm

So I can't really say it's an epidemic...just seems that way right now....hence the " " marks in my earlier post. I have no idea if there is a specific source, as it seems the cases we've seen are coming from different areas, and I've no idea if we'll see any more cases in the coming weeks.
All I can say in regards to your dogs, is to make sure that you have their vaccines kept up to date, and try to keep them from getting around other dogs' feces. At 5 years old, they should be pretty safe from getting Parvo regardless...but vaccination is key.
On a more positive note, our latest Parvo case will be going home today! :) February 11, 2010 07:51am

cheytara's Status: Took me until 2 pm to just get out of my driveway this morning, so my 2 hospitalized patients had to tough it out on their own for a while, but Buddy went home, and "Peanut" the landshark parvo puppy should be able to go home tomorrow 02:00pm
