Swedish Beagle
The Swedish Beagle is a medium to large sized dog that is a member of the hound group. This breed is not yet recognized by the American Kennel Club, but efforts are being made by a few dedicated breeders around the world to have it be recognized.
Appearance and Size
The Swedish Beagle is thought to be part Whippet, sheep dog, and Beagle. The animal should have a sight hound torso and stomach, to provide adequate oxygen to the lungs when it is running. It should have a large nose, and medium ears, that are placed atop the head, and dangle down. Markings can be allowed in several flavors, the most preferred being white of body with grey ticking, or brown ticking. The head should be divided by helmet like patches. A very desirable trait is small black triangles under the eyes.
