Exercise your dog and provide a wide range of chew toys. Canine hardware offers Chuckit toys that are very sturdy and many resist destructive chewing. American made Bully stix are another dog chew treat that are healthy, pure protein and take a quite a while for dogs to chew up.

Remember if your dog is still a puppy, puppies have sore teeth while they are teething so if this is the case, they need softer chew toys as they help to make inflamed gums feel better.

Frozen vegetables like carrots and green beans for example, are great healthy teething treats which puppies and older dogs both enjoy. Frozen fruit juice ice cubes are also healthy teething treats you might consider.

It is also important to be sure your dog does not have any dental problems which your vet can confirm for you.

1st how old is your dog. Some toys are stronger then others. I have a Lab and have found several toys that she will not just chew up but rather plays with. It really is trail and error on this as all dogs are not alike.

Big dog or little dog? For either size dog get a doggie puzzle toy it will help exercise its brain and tire it out. other options are radial free wheel barrel or atv tire outdoor chew or tug toy(get from a hardware store pet store tires dont last as long), kong balls, raquet balls (play time only), jolly balls, cuz balls, tug ropes, firehose based tug toys, chuck it balls, Unbreakoball, and if you want to get into really playing with your dog look into making a flirt pole. its a toy that is attached to a pvc pole by a length of rope that you twirl around and your dog chases the toy(play time only), nylon bones, and animal antlers.
