I have aToddler and Baby Grand Children ,My two year old Grand Son sees Water runs very fast and will fly through the air and hurl himself into any water he sees .I am moving to River/Lake Country,I swim with my German Shepherd dogs . ......

I saw a video of Newfoundlands being trained for Water Rescue Dogs.They can swim out I believe as much as a mile and rescue a full grown Man in Ocean surf..We have a need for Dogs trained for this, as there are little to no Life Gaurds .Who can I contact to learn how to do this training ? I would really appreciate it .Thank you ,Susan Von Oller

you are right the Newfoundlands are water rescue dogs. you can go to ask .com and type info on Newfoundland dog clubs there you should find all the info you need. I have two gsd's but mine hate water. Good luck. Perry
